Helena Belles Gala in the GardensHELENA – The Helena Belles will be hosting one of their biggest fundraising events on Saturday, Sept. 12 as the Belles host Gala in the Gardens.

Gala in the Gardens will be held at Park Crest in Hoover and tickets are $50 a piece. The event will be held from 7-11 p.m., and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a masquerade themed event, dinner, dessert, a raffle, silent auction, music and more.

The Gala is an adult only evening and dress for the event is cocktail attire. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite masquerade mask.

There will be two cash bars as well as large TVs for those interested in watching some of the college football action going on that evening.

Corporate tables can be purchased for $600 and includes a reserved table for eight, eight drink tickets, one two-hour used of five Helena Belles for a company or sponsor event, marketing on social media and everything else included at the Gala.

Guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle while getting to know other Helena residents and officials.

The goal of the Gala in the Gardens is to raise funds for college scholarships.

The Helena Belles Scholarship fund was established in 2013 and in the first three years of the program, more than $14,000 has been raised in scholarship funds.

The ‘Helena Belles’ is a service organization, derived from the traditional Southern Belles in the South, that helps young women get involved in the Helena community, according to the Helena Belles website.

The Carriage House at Park Crest is set to be finishing up construction this Summer and will be opening its doors for the Fall of 2015. The venue will be located next door to Park Crest Gardens. It will combine several architectural features that will make it one of a kind. It will feature two levels, 20,000 square feet of event space, and large rooms. The facility will be perfect for wedding receptions, ceremonies, corporate events, private parties, and almost any other type of event. The Carriage House will be one of Birmingham’s most unique facilities.

Downstairs will make you feel as if you have stepped into an upscale warehouse. The space will feature brick walls, tall exposed ceilings, beautiful lighting, and an industrial feel. A large bar, stage and dance floor, and Park Crest’s Car Collection with also be housed in the basement of the Carriage House.

The main level will take your breath away as soon you you enter. It will be as if you stepped into a luxurious farmhouse. It will contain a 6,000 square foot ballroom with massive french doors and tons of natural lighting. Reclaimed wood, natural stone, 36 foot ceilings, and nine crystal chandeliers will make up just some of its beautiful features.

Seven Poinsettia Debutantes host Boots and Beaus

Boots and BeausThe 2013 Poinsettia Debutantes enjoyed a down-home gathering July 20 when seven of the debutantes hosted Boots and Beaus at Park Crest Premier Event Facility. Hostesses, Ally Jennings, Emily Carlton, Katie Gould, Leah Beard, Mary Kathryn Fletcher, Megan Early and Meredith Botes, wore white sundresses and boots.

The Cowboy Down Band provided music. Erin Castillo catered the country-style party. Mothers helping at the party included Kelli Beard, Kaye Botes, Christy Fletcher, Deborah Early, Rachel Gould, Kelly Carlton and Sally Jennings.

The 2013 Poinsettia debutantes attending included Rebecca Bell, Laura Krannich, Kirsten Julian, Catherine Cullen, Hannah Kahn, and Abigail Rose and Brantley Peddy.
